Riding Lessons

  • Private, one hour, lessons are available
  • Beginner through Advanced
  • English, Western, or Trail

Lessons are focused on "Balance seat" and "relaxation" to produce good equitation and communication with your horse. Individual instruction and ground coaching are important no matter how long you have been riding. Bad habits that can affect your horse physically and mentally can develop over time, so whether you are just learning to ride, or wish to develop a more connected ride, we look forward to working with you.

Clinics

Communication Thru Relaxation

  • Unlocking bracing to change behavior problems and obtain better performance.
  • Understanding how our body influences the horse.
  • Connecting the mental world of the rider to the physical world of the horse.
  • Eliminating tension, anxiety, or fear from our ride.

Whether you want an added edge to performance, or a deeper relationship with your horse partner, Amy helps you acquire the skills that accompany deeper understanding of our ability to affect our horse in positive ways both physically and mentally.

The Spring 2010 date at our Stable In Christ facility will be posted soon, or call to get more information. Clinic runs from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM, and riders and auditors are both welcome.

Traveling Clinic

Amy will bring the “Communication Thru Relaxation” in a private format, to your location for groups of 4-6 riders. Scheduling can be at your convenience with a deposit. An indoor riding facility is helpful, but not necessary.

Mini Clinics

“Learn to Train”

Saturday mornings 9:00 AM -Noon by appointment only. $15.00 per person

Amy trains horses by way of demonstration to help observers understand horse behaviors, training techniques, and how we as riders can affect our horses. Observers are encouraged to ask questions, and even do hands on ground work at times. Different horses are worked with from week to week, so a variety of experiences and understandings can be learned. The mini clinics are great for anyone wanting to expand their horse training skills, but especially helpful to novice horse people, 4-H horse club members or anyone who wishes to work with more than one animal.

Call to make your reservation.
